PROJECT HIGHLIGHT: Phoenix Backyard Golf Retreat
Our Southwest Greens Phoenix crew transformed an ordinary backyard in Scottsdale, Arizona, into a 20,000 sq ft golf retreat that feels straight out of a championship course.
We started with a sprawling 7,200 sq ft golf green, framed by two distinct fringe zones covering another 12,800 sq ft. To give the green real presence, we raised it six feet above grade, stacking large boulders at the rear and compacting 300 tons of base material underneath.
Around the main green, you’ll find a gently receding sand trap on one side and a sculpted grass bunker on the other, each inviting a different kind of challenge.
Then come the four tee stations — at 85, 100, 145, and 200 yards — so every swing, from a soft chip to a full drive, feels fresh. Under Scottsdale’s endless sunshine, that elevated profile adds drama to every putt and pitch.
The best part? Homeowners and our installation team couldn’t stop grinning at the final roll of the ball. From first sketch to last detail, this project proves what happens when craftsmanship and creativity meet a love for golf.
