Southwest Greens of Nevada built a professional-grade tournament facility that would host competitors from around the globe, all vying for millions in prize money. The artificial turf installation needed to perform at the highest level under intense scrutiny — both from players and live television broadcasts.
The Major Series of Putting represented something new: a dedicated championship putting venue complete with grandstand seating, a pro shop, a sports bar, and live entertainment. The putting green sat at the center of this experience, demanding precision in every contour, break, and roll.
Southwest Greens of Nevada worked directly with Nicklaus Design to execute their vision for this unique artificial grass facility. The synthetic grass installation required careful attention to grade, consistency, and playability across all 18 holes. Tournament conditions mean zero margin for error — every surface detail matters when competitors are putting for millions.
The tournament ran from March 8 through March 29, 2017, featuring singles and team events in both stroke play and match play formats. Participants qualified through PGA Professional-hosted events across North America, then competed at this Las Vegas facility for their share of the prize purse.
This project showcased what's possible when design excellence meets installation expertise. Southwest Greens of Nevada delivered a championship-caliber artificial turf installation that performed under professional tournament conditions — proof that synthetic surfaces can meet the demands of competitive golf at the highest level.
