Where Does Your Turf Come From?

Our synthetic grass is manufactured in the USA. Southwest Greens is part of Shaw Industries (a Berkshire Hathaway company), and each turf strand is crafted in Shaw’s U.S. factories. Our modern production lines feature automation, Lean/Six Sigma oversight, and internal testing labs to hit industry-leading standards. When you plan an artificial turf installation with Southwest Greens, you can be confident that you’re getting long-lasting, American-made grass.

American Manufacturing: We use Shaw’s U.S. plants (ours is in Dalton, GA) for turf production. Shaw’s strategic investments and modern processes keep our fibers consistent and high-quality.

Vertical Quality Control: As part of Shaw, we oversee production from start to finish. That lets us ensure consistent fiber quality and uniform color and pile height across batches, faster response for any warranty or service issue, and clear manufacturing traceability to resolve problems quickly.

Rigorously Tested: Before any turf arrives, it’s proven in Shaw’s labs and fields. We use a 13,000 sq. ft. sports science lab and over 18,000 sq. ft. of outdoor test plots to emulate years of weather and play. We evaluate turf blades for color, endurance, and realistic performance, so your lawn or putting green looks and performs like real grass without wilting or fading.

CUTTING-EDGE INNOVATION

We keep evolving our turf to be true-to-life and tough. Some of our latest turf technologies include:

Bolt™ Fiber (High-Performance: This proprietary Bolt fiber features a patented lightning-bolt shape. It retains its shape longer than standard turf, doubling industry durability ratings. Its curved structure prevents glossiness, giving the turf a natural matte finish.

HydroChill® Cooling: We offer special HydroChill® granules that drop surface temps up to 50°F. This innovative moisture-activated process is perfect for warm-weather lawns and putting greens, keeping the surface cool for people and pets alike.

Pet-Friendly Drainage: Our pet turf products are designed for rapid waste removal and odor resistance. It eliminates digging and dirty paws. And how our artificial grass naturally sheds pet waste makes dead spots and odors a thing of the past.

Creaturf™ Personalization: Want your turf to match your brand, mascot, or personality? Our Creaturf™ program lets you design turf with embedded branding or designs. From custom logos on backyard putting greens to distinctive pet turf, this system provides total visual customization.

TAILORED TO YOU

We consult with designers, golf pros, and customers to ensure our artificial turf solve practical challenges. Feedback from golfers inspired us to develop a realistic “spring green” color that integrates naturally with fairways. Little details like this make us trusted by professionals, residents, and designers.

We also create specialized systems tailored to any environment — backyard putting greens, golf courses, pet areas, playgrounds, commercial lawns, game courts.

We take fake grass installation seriously. Done right, it’s a fine art. Our synthetic turf behave like pro golf surfaces. That’s why pros like Jack Nicklaus and Annika Sörenstam endorse Southwest Greens products. And because our connection to Shaw gives us unmatched flexibility, we can tweak anything — from pile height to infill — to fit your project.

LOOKING AHEAD: 2026 AND BEYOND

At Southwest Greens, we never stop innovating. Big advancements are coming in 2026! Shaw Sports Turf division confirmed that the public can select new field designs and that a next-gen “Game ON” synthetic turf (made in Calhoun, GA) will launch in 2026.

This playful spirit and technology will be available in landscaping products soon. We can’t share all the info now, but rest assured, our R&D team is working hard on the next generation of artificial grass.

Future turf will combine science with customer-driven input, so your next Southwest Greens lawn or putting green will be better than ever.
